Call C.R.E.A.

Choreography, Research, Empowerment, Audiences 2024 Choreographic workshop for young contemporary dancers.

C.R.E.A. project – Choreography, Research, Empowerment, Audiences – the choreographic workshop for young contemporary dancers, scheduled in Perugia between January and May 2024, is now in its third edition. The project stems from the need to contribute to the personal, artistic and professional development of young people, aged between 18 and 35, promoting their active participation in the definition of their professional future, through a training that favors the transmission of knowledge through the methodology of “learning by doing”.

The purpose of the project remains the realization of workshops aimed at creation, research, and consolidation of individual potential, with a particular attention to interaction and encounters with the public. Thanks to the guidance of strong national and international authors, C.R.E.A. professionally prepares artistic figures operating in contemporary creation, developing body sensitivity, original thinking and possible paths on which to build their own artistic identity .

Igor X Moreno
IGOR x MORENO

Leggi bio

Igor x Moreno is the signature works created by choreographers Igor Urzelai Hernando and Moreno Solinas in collaboration with an extended team of other artists. The works by Igor x Moreno stem from a fascination with people and what makes us such special animals. Founded in 2012 in London, the company moved to Sardinia in 2019, when the two choreographers took over the artistic direction of the production company S’ALA (www.s-ala.com).

Using choreography and predominantly nonverbal languages, Igor x Moreno’s creations are experiences that can surprise, excite, displace, and elude precise classifications of genre and style. Igor x Moreno’s creative processes prefer questions to answers, action to narrative, communication to expression, otherness to diversity, patience to productivity. They do not see entertainment as a duty, but as a useful communication tool. They work rigorously and lightly. They believe in the importance of inconclusiveness.

The team – scattered across Europe – meets in Sardinia, from where Igor x Moreno’s work has circulated not only in Europe, but also in North and South America, Africa and Asia.
Prizes and awards include the Rudolf Laban Award and nominations for the National Dance Awards and Total Theatre Awards; their works have been selected for Aerowaves (2011, 2013 and 2015), the NID Platform, the British Council Showcase and the British Dance Edition. Moreno Solinas and Igor Urzelai Hernando are affiliated artists with The Place (London), are part of the artistic direction of S’ALA – space for artists (Sassari) and are members of the Cultural Advisory Board of the British Council Italy.
